Shania Twain has been a beloved country music icon for years. Her sassy, scintillating Come On Over album deservedly made her a lifelong superstar. However, there is one accolade she has not gotten - until April 22, 2026. On that day, Twain was named as the host of the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards. The popular Canadian singer, 60, has never hosted this major country music industry occasion before.

The glittering event will be held in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17, per People. It will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and can be watched on Amazon Music and Prime Video, according to the ACM web site.
Some of the fan-favorite performers slated to appear include Lainey Wilson, Riley Green, Little Big Town, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, and Kacey Musgraves. Per the ACM, additional artists will be announced later.

She is thrilled about it. Twain posted a giddy message on Instagram that read, "First time hosting the @acmawards!! Now what will I wear? looking forward to a night of Country Music and celebrating musical talent in my favourite city!"
