Shania Twain Needed a 'Sexy Man With a Southern Accent' For a Song and Knew Just Who to Call

"I could just hear a sexy man with a southern accent," Twain says of Billy Ray Cyrus' cameo on new song.

Almost five months after the release of her latest studio album Queen of Me, Shania Twain has more new music on the way. Twain revealed that she will release an extended version of her album dubbed Queen Of Me: Royal Edition this Friday, June 23.  The extended edition will feature two new songs called "Done & Dusted" and "On Three," the latter of which is a bit of a collaboration with veteran country artist Billy Ray Cyrus.

Twain unveiled the news in a video she posted to Twitter on Friday, June 16, during which she makes a phone call to Cyrus. She asks Cyrus to count her in, and after he counts to three, a short audio clip from the tune and video clip from the studio plays as the video ends.

In an accompanying tweet, Twain explains that inviting Cyrus to be part of the song was a no-brainer, and there is a specific reason why she thought of him.

"I'd already written On Three and was in the studio recording it, I could just hear a sexy man with a southern accent counting the song in and the first person that came to mind was @billyraycyrus," she writes. "I called him up and literally had him record it down the phone."

Twain has already released both songs as Target bonus tracks, but the release of the extended edition will allow all fans to access the tunes. On the original version of "On Three," Twain sings the majority of the song and Cyrus' voice is heard counting to three in the chorus.

"The two of us, on three / The count's on you, you count on me / Let's plan not to land / And get lost somewhere in between / The earth and sky, we'll just fly / The two of us, on three (Jump!)," she sings in the chorus.

Twain is currently on her international Queen of Me Tour, which runs through mid-November.
