Bad Omens was performing their final track of the night when the shocking incident happened. Part of the venue's roof collapsed causing it to fall on unexpecting concert-goers. Confetti canons fired during the big climax to the event. Unfortunately, it appears they caused the ceiling at Festival Hall to falter. Several ceiling tiles rained down as a result.
Some fans suffered some pretty gnarly injuries as a result. On Facebook, one fan explained that their friend had injured their arm by the falling ceiling. "My friend got hit with it, soft tissue damage to her hand & maybe broken/fractured fingers. She's (rightfully) pissed," the fan shared.
Ceiling Rains Down
Meanwhile, another claimed that their sibling got hit. They wrote, "Luckily nothing broken but she's very sore & needs time off work". Another person commented online that two concert-goers were left bleeding pretty bad in the chaos.
"It was actually really bad... Two girls got dragged out in front of me, one bleeding from her mouth and neck, the other from her knee... A bunch of people in the area were scrambling to get out," the concert-goer said.
Another said they got covered in blood after a by-stander got hit.
"I was recording on Snapchat when it happened and my video cut as I got hit and my phone flung a meter away from me as I dropped to the ground, I was covered in blood from the girl next to me and she was very out of it, seems as if she was looking at the confetti and it's [the debris] bounced off my hand and got her straight in the face," the Snapchat user said.
They ended up going to the hospital
"[The} hospital gave me a medical certificate to cover a few days off and see how it heals up, venue people seemed to care very little but the paramedics on scene were amazing," the Snapchat user added.
So far the concert venue hasn't commented or released a statement about the incident.
