Chris and Morgane Stapleton have become one of country music's most popular power couples. Both are individually talented, but also compliment each other impeccably. From powerful ballads to honky tonk anthems, it's hard to find a song that these two can't perfect.
The couple are known to include lots of classic covers in their set list. However, this particular regular addition is especially remarkable. In recent months, Chris and Morgane have been performing a spirited rendition of Waylon Jennings' "I Ain't Living Long Like This." The track, written by Rodney Crowell and originally recorded by Emmylou Harris, has been covered by everyone from Brooks & Dunn to Jerry Jeff Walker. Still, their version easily ranks at the top of the list.
The mix of rolling electric guitar and their powerful vocals infuse an extra bit of rock and roll into their already flawless live sets. If you haven't managed to see and hear these two live, don't be afraid to shell out a little extra cash for some tickets. It's worth every penny.
The Stapletons have been on the road most of the year and show no signs of stopping. They'll perform two sold out shows as Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater next week. You can find a full list of upcoming tour dates here.
