A Seattle beer garden employee has been accused of killing his co-worker in cold blood. As reported by the New York Post, the body of 25-year-old Quusaa "Q" Margarsa was found inside The Growler Guys when an employee was opening the establishment.
Authorities have accused 20-year-old Lucas Logan of killing Margarsa in cold blood on Saturday, May 9. They had both been at the bar after hours with an unidentified woman when the incident occurred.
Margarsa's friends told authorities that he closed up The Growler Guys at around 1:30am local time. He then proceeded to visit Lava Hookah Lounge in north-east Seattle.
After spending some time there, he left the lounge and took the pair back to the beer garden to hang out. They arrived there at 5:25am, according to surveillance footage.
As Margarsa had closed, he had the key to enter. The trio spent around an hour drinking, and possibly using narcotics. Then, an argument broke out between Margarsa and Logan at around 6:40am local time.
Logan's arrest report says that the argument started when Margarsa wanted the woman to stay at the bar. But, he wanted Logan to leave.
The probable cause statement further explains that Margarsa was seen turning his back to unlock the door, when "the male suspect pulled out a handgun from his crossbody bag and shot Margarsa multiple times in the back,"

The Beer Garden Employee Turned Himself In
Following the incident, Logan turned himself into the police on Monday, May 11. He turned himself in with his defense attorney, Pete Mazzone.
Mazzone has insisted that Logan acted in self-defense. He explained in a court hearing in the King County Jail, "This is a clear case of not only self-defense, but defense of others."
He added, "The fear was 'we're locked in here, and this guy doesn't want to let the girl leave.' When they tried to leave peacefully... They found the door they had come in from was locked."
However, the prosecutor, Chris Anderson, explained to the court that Margarsa was facing away from Logan when he was shot. "Mr. Margarsa was found with the key to that door in his dead hand. Not a weapon - a key."
Logan's bail has been set at a shocking $2 million.
