With the rise of AI chatbots, more people seem to be relying on them a little too much. Whether it's using them for advice all the time, becoming friends with them, or even dating them, things seem to be getting a little out of hand.
And it seems that celebrities aren't out of the firing line, either. As reported by Page Six, Scrubs star Zach Braff has been forced to deny accusations that he is dating a chatbot. In a series of now-expired Instagram stories, Braff explained the whole ordeal.
"I'm not dating a chatbot. I can't believe I have to type these words," he wrote.
Neither can I, Zach. Neither can I.
He thought that there could have been some confusion around an episode in the new Scrubs revival. "Maybe it came from that? Not sure", he mused. Then, in a very meta ending, he finished, "Love, the guy not dating his chatbot. Please update all gossip sites." Something tells me he's had enough of all of this!
Another Instagram post found the "Scrubs" star realizing the origin of the meme. "Also I had no idea until tonight (because I'm not on TikTok) that these folks were the origin of this?", he noted. The attached video showed a clip from the "I Need You Guys" podcast, featuring Jenny Slate, Max Silvestri, and Gabe Liedman. The clip in question showed the trio discussing rumors of a chatbot-obsessed celebrity.
And, while they never explicitly mentioned a name, people were quick to accuse Zach Braff.

Zach Braff Is Set To Star In the 'Scrubs' Revival
Have you heard about the revival of Scrubs? As reported by Entertainment Weekly, a lot of the main cast are set to reprise their roles. And this includes Zach Braff as Dr. John "J.D." Dorian.
Also in the star-studded lineup are Donald Faison as Dr. Christopher Turk; Sarah Chalk as J.D's love interest, Dr. Elliot Reid; Judy Reyes as Turk's love interest, Carla Espinosa; and John C. McGinley as J.D's mentor, Perry Cox.
The revival launched on February 25, and episodes are releasing every Wednesday. There's going to be nine episodes, up until the finale on April 15.
