Scream star Matthew Lillard really wants to get on to working on Star Wars. Why, you ask? He wants to specifically work with Mark Hamill.
Lillard got into his reasons why during an interview with Entertainment Weekly at the San Diego Comic Con. He was asked to "manifest" his dream scene partner when he got into detail about Star Wars.
"Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, is a friend. I love him," he said. They'd already collaborated with each other, having both starred in The Life of Chuck.
"He's such a good dude." Who wouldn't say that of our favorite Jedi? But the reason runs deeper than just Mark Hamill being the G.O.A.T.
"For me, the defining moment of my life as a young man, the reason I think I became an actor, is because I played with Star Wars action figures from the time I was 10 to entirely too long in my life," he recounted. I mean... It's a lot of people's guilty pleasures... right? Not just me?
He got into the nitty-gritty of his Star Wars action figure addiction. "I played with Star Wars action figures for entirely too long," he recalled. "I was, like, driving, picking up girls, taking them on dates, making out, and then going home and playing action figures." He did acknowledge that that was "a lot of information", to be fair to him—but, "it's true!"

He Said He'd "Literally Do Anything" To Get Into 'Star Wars'
But, despite Matthew Lillard being a very seasoned actor, with credits in legendary franchises like Scream, Twin Peaks and Scooby-Doo, his heart lies with Star Wars.
"For me, being a part of Star Wars, I would literally do anything to be a part of that franchise because of what it means to me. I also believe that playing these characters with such defined codes of belief—good guy, bad guy, fighting to save the universe—those themes are so exciting as an actor."
And, as a bit of a plea to Mark Hamill, the Scream icon said, "Mark Hamill in Star Wars—please, please, please let's make this happen. You guys, let's manifest this s***. Let's manifest it."
And while we're not sure he's going to be in a galaxy far, far away just yet... maybe one day, Matthew Lillard. Maybe one day you'll be using the Force.
