‘Scream’ Actor Dead, Aged 72

C.W. Morgan has sadly passed away at the age of 72. He was best known for his role as Hank Loomis in the horror smash hit Scream.

C.W. Morgan has sadly passed away at the age of 72. He was best known for his role as Hank Loomis in the horror smash hit Scream. Morgan played his role as Loomis in both Scream and Scream 3. According to TMZ, Morgan passed away on August 30.

The outlet notes that, currently, Morgan's cause of death is unclear. However, it has been reported that he passed away in a bathroom.

"Officers responded to a call for a death investigation and the death appears to have been from natural causes. An LAFD spokesperson tells us they received a call for an unconscious adult male," An LAPD spokesperson told TMZ. "Morgan was not transported because the incident became a coroner's case."

Following Morgan's death, his daughter paid tribute via social media.

"Losing you has left the biggest hole in my heart. I miss you endlessly already," she wrote, via TMZ. "I will carry on our Mulholland drives and our Starbucks outings. I'm grateful and lucky to have had you as my daddy. My Guck. Rest easy, bubby. Life will never be the same without you and your poorly timed jokes that I inherited from you."

No details regarding Morgan's funeral or celebration of life have been made public. That information was undoubtedly kept private for family and close friends.

Morgan's on-screen acting career began in 1991. He appeared in two episodes of Midnight Caller, where he played Al Haynie. The following year, he appeared as Rudy in the made-for-TV movie The Last of His Tribe.

We didn't see Morgan back on our screens for three years, until he appeared in an episode of Aeon Flux in 1995, playing the voice of Bargeld. However, his appearance on the show was short-lived, with IMDB only crediting him for one episode.

Nevertheless, in 1996, Morgan landed the role of Hank Loomis on Scream. His biggest scene in the movie was when he showed up to vouch for his son, Billy, as the police questioned him.

Morgan also appeared in the 1997 movie Metro and The Last Express. He then made a short comeback in 2000, appearing in Scream 3 and Nash Bridges.

However, Morgan hasn't been seen on our screens since, as he likely chose to live his life away from the public eye.
