Santa Claus On Motorcycle Gets In High Speed Chase With Police

Christmas is a jolly time of year, but it's always hectic, especially if you're Santa! Unfortunately, this phony had a run-in with the law when they traded the tried and true reindeer and sleigh for a motorcycle.

Dashcam footage from a trooper vehicle in Florida shows a skilled rider evading the authorities dressed as Father Christmas himself. A video posted by FHP (Florida Highway Patrol) Tampa captured the entire chase. Officers try to stop a rider wearing the iconic red and white ensemble on a corner of the highway. Presents are more important than the police to this rider, and they make a sharp right turn into a gas station.

The Saint Nick imposter snakes through the pumps before taking another turn back onto the highway. As the police car can't match the motorcycle's mobility, it hits the road just in time to see the festive motorcyclist speed off into the distance.

According to the New York Post, the rider was weaving through traffic at a ridiculous 120 miles per hour through Beverley Hills, prompting the chase.

The Supercharged Santa Is Still At Large

While the police caught the doppelganger's antics on camera, they apparently managed to evade capture. At the time of writing, Authorities are still searching for the suspect after losing them during the chase.

The iconic outfit would be a dead giveaway any other time of the year. As it stands, the best we have to go on is a blue and white motorcycle. Fortunately, nobody was hurt during the chase, but this copycat is probably due a large chunk of coal in their stocking.

FHP Tampa posted the following light-hearted message regarding the incident:

"The sleigh must be in the shop, but last night Mr. Claus didn't pause for any cause. Anyone that recognizes ol' St. Nick please feel free to call *FHP (*347) and let us know!"

Naturally, comments on Social Media are as helpful as you'd expect, with the overwhelming sentiment being, "We aren't going to snitch on Santa."

We recently reported on Santa Claus getting into a brawl with the Grinch, so maybe he was racing down the highway to prepare for round two.
