Sam Hunt to Perform on ‘The Voice’ Season 9 Finale

Sam Hunt joins a list of A-list musicians who will help close out the ninth season of The Voice.

Hunt will get the chance to hang out with fellow country star and celebrity judge Blake Shelton during the live finale, which will air Dec. 15 on NBC. The Georgia native is set to perform alongside Coldplay, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Missy Elliot. More musical guests are expected to be announced over the next few days.

The performance will mark the end of a record-breaking year for Hunt, who just received nominations for Best Country Album and Best New Artist at the 2016 Grammy Awards. Although he’s up against some tough competition from pop artists like James Bay and Meghan Trainor, Hunt seems like a shoo-in after being named Artist of the Year at the 2015 American Music Awards.

Whatever happens at the Grammys, Hunt has plenty to be thankful for this year. He’s managed to collect three No. 1 hits, and his current single “Breakup in a Small Town” has made its way to the number two spot on the Billboard charts. Rumor has it that he’s hard at work recording new material for a follow-up release that many hope will come out sometime in 2016.

Until then, you can see Hunt perform live during The Voice‘s season finale live on NBC Dec. 15 at 8PM ET.
