It looks like 2017 is off to a pretty solid start for Sam Hunt.
People has confirmed that the "House Party" singer recently became engaged to longtime girlfriend Hannah Lee Fowler. No other details of when or where the proposal took place have been released.
The confirmation of the engagement comes on the heels of Hunt's surprise single release. "Drinkin' Too Much" debuted online this New Year's Eve, and seems to be Hunt's most personal song to date.

Most of "Drinkin' Too Much" focuses on the trials and tribulations Hunt unintentionally placed Fowler through with Montevallo. He apologizes for a variety of things, making her a subject of gossip, and being unable to listen to the radio. Moreover, the song itself even mentions Fowler by name - "Hannah Lee, I'm on my way to you."

It seems pretty apparent that Hunt's primary focus in writing "Drinkin' Too Much" was to win back Fowler's trust. Rumors of their reconciliation first began last year when Hunt began posting pictures of Fowler traveling across the globe alongside him on his official Instagram account.
