'Yellowstone' Star Ryan Bingham Shares New EP 'Watch Out For the Wolf,' Recorded in a Montana Cabin

"This collection of songs is a snapshot of a moment."

When singer-songwriter and Yellowstone star Ryan Bingham went to a secluded cabin in the Montana wilderness, he didn't plan on writing and recording an album. But once he found himself alone (and without the distraction of Wi-Fi), he began crafting an immersive snapshot of his life at this moment. The result is Watch Out For the Wolf (released Aug. 11 via The Bingham Recording Co. and distributed by Thirty Tigers). The 7-song EP was solely performed, recorded, mixed and produced by Bingham, using only the equipment available in the one-room cabin.

"This collection of songs is a snapshot of a moment; a photograph capturing a time spent in the mountains of the Montana wilderness. While making this album I went through a definite personal evolution or spiritual transformation that I can't really explain. I know about free will, but this thing was completely out of my control. I just felt like a conduit most of the time. Creating this album in solitude was otherworldly, spiritual, and sometimes just downright f—-ing terrifying."

Bingham stars as Walker on Yellowstone, which is filmed in Montana, and frequently performs on the series. The Oscar and Grammy-winning artist previously teased upcoming music on social media.

"Been a while since I've had some new tunes out there," Bingham wrote on Instagram. "Thank you all for the love and support over the years and hope you enjoy this next chapter."

Earlier this year, Bingham revealed that he's dating his Yellowstone co-star Hassie Harrison by sharing a kiss with Harrison in a sweet Instagram post. Harrison, who stars as Laramie on Yellowstone, also stars in the comedy series Tacoma FD.
