Roseanne Barr is promising to push the bounds of TV yet again with a little help from Randy Quaid.

The vehicle is called Meemaw, and it stars the 73-year-old controversial comedian as the matriarch of a "mixed-race family of preppers in Texas," according to Page Six Hollywood.
Barr and company reportedly quietly raised funds for the project and shot it in Austin, Texas. They already have eight episodes ready to unleash on the public. The plot of the series involves the titular Meemaw (Barr) pulling out all the stops to "throw her granddaughter the most fantastic bat mitzvah Texas has ever seen."
Meanwhile, Barr believes the new series will have an ever greater impact than her classic TV sitcom, Roseanne.
"It's every bit as revolutionary as the Roseanne show, if not more, and my work has improved with time," Barr insisted to Page Six. "I want everybody who disagrees in a family to sit in the same room and just laugh and go, 'Yeah, maybe I was an a--hole that time. Well, you were an a—hole this time. Oh, we're all a—holes. Let's get a beer."
"I thought now would be a great time for people to actually hear from a Jew," Barr added.
The tagline for the show reads like a boomer fever dream: "God. Guns. Grandkids. And whatever it takes."
The First Promo Image for Roseanne Barr's Comeback TV Show is... Something
Page Six also shared the first image for the show, which is certainly something.
It features a platinum-blonde Barr wearing a white fur coat and a pink flower in her hair. In one hand, she holds a blazing cigarette lighter shaped like a handgun. Meanwhile, she clutches a cock in the other hand. She stares down the barrel of the camera defiantly; a cigarette dangles from her thin lips. Behind her is a barn complete with a pink pickup truck and a scenic setting sun.
"A fiercely patriotic prepper grandma sets outs to save America, take down a criminal empire, and throw her granddaughter the perfect Bat Mitzvah — by any means necessary," a caption reads over the image.
According to Page Six, Randy Quaid plays Barr's husband on the upcoming show. Sopranos alum Drea de Matteo plays her daughter, and Omar Gooding (Family Time) plays her son-in-law. Rounding out the cast is Indea Poulton-Callahan (who shot to fame on social media as Indy Bugg) as Barr's granddaughter.
The cast also includes Doug Jones, Patty Ross, Jon Lovitz, Tony Hinchcliffe, and Kim Congdon.
Of course, the news of Barr's new project comes 8 years after she was fired by ABC from the wildly successful reboot of her classic sitcom following some controversial tweets.
Meemaw (subtitled "A Modern Day Fable"), which was privately funded, doesn't have a home on a network or streamer as of yet.
