Rory Feek's daughter has returned home after spending eight days in the hospital. 12-year-old Indiana suffered complications after undergoing open-heart surgery.

Writing on Substack, the country artist confirmed doctors cleared her to return home.
"Yesterday afternoon, eight days after going back to the children's hospital in Austin. we finally got word that Indy was free and clear to come home," he wrote. "I think they kept her for even longer than they'd planned, just to be extra confident we wouldn't find ourselves back there anytime soon."
Rory says that he appreciated all of the support that friends and fans sent their ways during this difficult time.

"Honestly, the outpouring of love from everyone - some we know and most we'll probably never met - that we've received in the last few weeks, has been absolutely humbling for our whole family," he wrote, noting that they then took a nice walk after she came home to talk about the last few weeks.
"PS: Indy's doing amazing and looking and feeling better than ever. Pretty much completely her old self. And although she's excited about getting back to sleeping in her big girl bedroom...for the next few nights, Mama's not taking any chances," he continued. "She's sleeping in a bed at the foot of ours."
It's great to see that Indy is doing better. Earlier this month, the young girl suffered a near-death experience after fluid built up around her heart. She required an emergency life flight from the home to the hospital.
Indy underwent surgery initially to correct a birth defect in her heart. At the time, Rory explained why the surgery was necessary for the young girl.
"In February 2014, just a few days after Indy was born, after a very troubling appointment with a local doctor, we took Indiana to Nashville to have her heart checked out," Feek wrote at the time. "They say that about half of all little ones born with Down syndrome have heart issues. And some are much worse than others."
We're glad that the young girl is doing better. Here's hoping she can get some much needed rest.
