Ronda Rousey is just days away from making her MMA comeback. She's set to face fellow MMA legend Gina Carano on May 16. With only a few days remaining until her bout, Rousey has likely been finalizing her preparations. That means she's working on her game plan and ensuring her fitness is up to the necessary level.

On Wednesday, May 13, Rousey decided to make some of her workout public. She was filmed working out in Venice, California. The video, which has since surfaced online, via TMZ Sports, shows Rousey working the boxing pads with her trainer.

As the video progresses, Rousey begins to blend in some Muay Thai, throwing elbows and knees. Her movement looks great, her head movement is crisp, and the pacing of the workout was solid. However, it is interesting that throughout a 1:30 video, she never looked to clinch, enter into a takedown or initiate ground work.

Of course, that may be part of Rousey's plan. After all, it doesn't make sense to reveal her full game plan while going through her paces in a public workout. Nevertheless, we all know that Rousey's best chance of securing a victory on May 16 will be via a takedown into a submission. It's what made her famous and how she dominated during her time in the UFC.

Ronda Rousey Aiming To 'Kill' Gina Carano

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Rousey, dubbed the "baddest woman on the planet," admitted that on fight night, she will be trying to "kill" Carano.

"Once they close the door, I'm going to do everything in my power to kill that chick with my bare hands. It's up to that referee to stop me," Rousey said. "If anything. I want to show her the monster that she created. I want her to be proud of it. I want her to see, like, wow, I had no idea that what I started was going to create something like this. And I want to show her what I am capable of. Whoop her ass and make her proud of me!"

Both Rousey and Carano are legends in their own right. Regardless of who wins on May 16, it will be great to see both of them back in the octagon. After all, they're two of the biggest pionieers of womens MMA.
