Yesterday (Oct. 23), the Arkansas-born rock star posted a video on Instagram giving his perspective on the bus crash that befell him and his crew on the drive from Denver to Salt Lake City on Oct. 14.
The 27-year-old recalled that they "hit a big bump," then drove across several lanes of traffic before flipping over and ending up in a ditch.
"Oh my God, this is about to happen. I'm about to die," the "Bad Lovers" singer recalled thinking as the bus skidded from side to side. "Everything starts shaking, and metal starts scraping, and then crash. I get thrown out of my bunk in complete darkness."
"The flashlights come on, and our lighting guy is just bleeding profusely out of his face. Our merch person, who's trying to bandage him up, is bleeding out of the back of her head," Hill recounted about the aftermath of the horrifying bus crash.

The "Jimmy's Gone Numb" singer also went on to show off a healing injury. The rock star had purple and green bruises stretching across his lower left leg. Hill then shared the grim advice he got from a first responder on the scene.
"[First responders] told us, 'You all should be dead. If you have a God, you should be thanking Him.' So, thank God, and I wish we were all still here, but we're all lucky to be alive," Hill added.
Hill's tour bus driver, David Jackson, died in the crash. He thanked fans for contributing to a GoFundMe that was set up in the wake of the death of the 50-year-old.
"David experienced a sudden medical emergency behind the wheel, causing the bus to cross three lanes of traffic before eventually rolling," the page explains. "Thankfully, the band members aboard the bus survived. Tragically, David's life was lost."
"Every donation will help relieve some of the financial burden of transporting David home and covering his funeral expenses," the GoFundMe goes on to add.
As of this writing, over $20,000 has been raised.
