That's because the "Maggie May" singer postponed his show at the Riverbend Music Center in the Midwestern city. The reason? The rock music legend had to undergo a "minor medical procedure."
Is Rod Stewart OK?
The venue didn't offer much more information on its website.
"Due to an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention, Rod Stewart's performance tonight in Cincinnati at Riverbend Music Center has been POSTPONED," the notice read.
The message added that the show is being rescheduled, noting there will be additional information tomorrow, Aug. 11.
"All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date," the statement continued. "Rod is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati."
Stewart Has Postponed Several Shows During His Last Tour
Back in June, the 81-year-old singer was forced to cancel his show just 40 minutes before coming on stage due to health difficulties.
Live Nation, the promoters of Stewart's One Last Time tour, released a statement about his abrupt cancellation.
They wrote that, "on the advice of his doctors and following a diagnosis of an acute upper respiratory infection that has resulted in laryngitis... [He] is unable to take to the stage this evening."
However, Stewart, an avid soccer fan, got in some hot water with fans. He posted on social media the next day that he was heading to Boston to see Scotland in the World Cup.
One fan wrote, "So you blew off all the people in San Diego that wanted to see you in concert but able to go to the world cup I see! I'm a huge fan of yours but I don't think that's cool."
A rep for Stewart insisted that the condition was real. They added that he was within his right to cancel the show.
Around a week later, Stewart was performing "Young Turks" onstage at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City, Utah. But throughout the song, he appeared to be in pain.
Staff ended up wheeling out an oxygen tank to make sure he could breathe. He told fans "the show must go on", despite the fact he'd "nearly fainted".
But he pulled through, despite needing to be seated for the remaining half of his performance.
