Famed Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl and his wife, Jordyn Blum, attended the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards together on Sunday.

The couple's appearance comes two years after Grohl revealed that he welcomed a daughter born outside of his marriage.
"I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supporting parent to her," the Foo Fighters founder shared via Instagram in September 2024.
The famed drummer vowed to work tirelessly to repair the relationship between him and his family.
"I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together," he added.
Grohl and Blum wed in 2003 and share three daughters, Violet, Harper and Ophelia.
At the VMAs, the couple was all smiles. Grohl kept his hand around his wife, dressed in a fancy black gown.
Grohl was an esteemed guest, as Nirvana was honored at the award show.

More than three decades after the band first took the VMAs stage, Nirvana returned to accept the Video Vanguard Award.
The iconic band received the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards' Video Vanguard Award, honoring the band's lasting influence on music.
Nirvana's appearance was preceded by a highlight reel of some of their most iconic music videos, with bassist Krist Novoselic acknowledging Cobain's role in conceiving those clips.
"Thank you very much to Nirvana's fans around the world and to everyone at MTV," said Novoselic. "This award brings back so many memories of making those videos. We saw the dystopian pep rally with anarchist cheerleaders; our version of an Ed Sullivan TV appearance; performing in a Wizard Of Oz-like field of poppies and so many more.
"The ideas for those videos all grew out of the vision of one of the greatest artists of all time, Kurt Cobain. Kurt was one of one. None of us could have imagined that our band, our sound, our aesthetic could mean so much to so many people. Ultimately, the music had a life of its own. It charted its own course. Nirvana continues to resonate so deeply because people are so hungry for authenticity. For something real, something uncompromising. It's something that tells you it's just okay to come as you are. Kurt would've loved that legacy. Thank you so much."
