Robert Fripp is currently recovering from a heart attack. The lead guitarist from King Crimson had multiple emergency surgeries after suffering the incident. I hope he continues to have a healthy and swift recovery. That can only be incredibly scary, and I don't want to imagine what his wife was going through during the situation.

The Attack In Question
Robert Fripp and Toyah Willcox chatted about the whole scenario on the most recent episode of their podcast, Toyah & Robert's Upbeat Moments. Fripp chatted about worrying over some chest pains while he prepped for a flight to Italy last month.
He stated on the pod, "I'd been suffering what I considered to be acid reflux for a couple of weeks before." Which is apparently nothing out of the norm for him. He had supposedly felt the same pain before, and just figured he'd get over it. Although he did schedule an appointment with a doctor in Italy, just to be sure.
When he had his appointment, however, a huge shock was revealed to him. The doctors informed him that his Troponin levels were off the charts. When speaking about the situation, he said they told him, "You're supposed to have 10 of these, but you've got 500 of them."
Yeah, I'm no doctor, but it seems pretty concerning to me.
He Had Already Had The Heart Attack?
Turns out this meant the rockstar had already suffered a heart attack.
Fripp then underwent a surgery, intensive care, and then a second surgery. All in the span of five hours. I know, absolutely insane.
Fripp suggested that at one point, he wanted to just check himself out of the hospital and go home. But of course, the doctors advised against it; the traveling could cause even more damage to his heart.
There were some brief moments of levity, though. During Fripp's stay, Willcox admitted, "He doesn't speak Italian, and very few people spoke English." Which naturally led to some hilarious miscommunications. At one point, Willcox stated, "He kept stripping off when he was actually [being] asked what he wanted to eat!"
She went on to praise Fripp's medical team for keeping her consistently updated. And Fripp ended up admitting, "I'm a very happy, fortunate man. If you think you have heartburn or acid reflux, really look into it. It might be something more."
