The Flaming Lips canceled their show in Vienna, Austria, on Monday, June 15. The decision came following frontman Wayne Coyne being diagnosed with pneumonia. The band made the announcement via their Instagram account.

"We are truly sorry, Vienna, but our show tonight at Gasometer is canceled," the group wrote in the caption. "Wayne has pneumonia and has been ordered to bed rest. All refunds will be available from your point of purchase. We hope to see you again, Austria!"
Coyne, 65, was pictured in a hospital bed wearing a face mask. Currently, no update on Coyne's health has been provided. He will likely need some additional medical attention before he starts to get better.
The Flaming Lips are currently midway through their tour of the UK and Europe. Their next show is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, in Bologna, Italy. At present, there's no guarantee that show will move forward. After all, Coyne's health will be of the utmost priority.
If the group shuts down its Italian show, its next appearance will be on Saturday in Prague. The band is scheduled to play at the Metronome Festival, with another date set for Monday, June 22, in Serbia.
There's a chance that multiple shows could now be canceled, depending on the severity of Coyne's pneumonia.
The Flaming Lips Fans Have Sent Their Well-Wishes
Following The Flaming Lips announcement, fans left a string of well-wishing messages in the comments section.
"Oh dear Wayne, rest is normally not something in your busy life but please rest and recover soon! Your health is most important!" one user wrote in the comments section.
Another user used the announcement to try and make new friends. They suggested those that travelled into Vienna should meet up for drinks before making their way home.
"All folks who travelled to Vienna for the show: want to meet up for a drink somewhere?" the comment said.
Nevertheless, the majority of the comments were focused on sending postivity Coyne's way.
"Hope you get to feeling better Wayne, the crew here is sending you positive vibes & thoughts," another user wrote.
The Flaming Lips will inevitably provide an update on their frontman's health status. However, for now, their immediate shows may be in question.
