Things have devolved between the band and its lead singer. Apparently, things have gotten so bad that Butcher's Nail went public with their messy behind-the-scenes drama. Lead vocals Benny Vlad ghosted the band and hasn't returned their messages.
The band explained the delay behind their upcoming album on social media.
"Well, it's finally time to come clean,"
a post on the band's Facebook page read. "Approximately a year and a half ago, Benny (Vlad/Vocals) absolutely ghosted us. We know that he is well from his posts on Facebook but for some reason he cut of all communications with Butcher's Nail. This has been the cause of the delay for the upcoming new full-length album."Rock Band Reveals New Lead Singer
Fortunately, there is some good news. The band decided to just part ways with the singer. They've since replaced Benny with Sunderland Pete. Pete is excited to step into the role. However, fans shouldn't expect the same sounds when their new album does drop. They're teasing that Pete is bringing something new and exciting to the band.
"However, we are fortunate that the talented Sunderland Pete (of the Vacant Rogues) has stepped up and taken the reigns," the statement read. "And what a different sound it is! Just wait til you hear it. We will be completing the final mix in September, meanwhile we are starting to shop it around to some Record Labels. Let us know if there are any suggestions out there and feel free to pass this message along. Stay tuned!"
The band first launched an EP in North American Standoff. We'll see what happens with the band under its new vocals. Why the lead singer ghosted them remains unknown.
