Von Scales has sadly passed away at the age of 58. He was the husband of Trina Braxton, who rose to fame as a member of the R'n'B group 'The Braxtons.' A representative for the family confirmed Von's passing when speaking with TMZ.

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Von Scales, beloved husband of Trina Braxton," the rep said. "The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers but is asking for privacy at this time as they navigate this unfortunate event."
According to a source close to the family, Von passed away around 2 AM on Thursday, Oct. 1, in Atlanta. Currently, there is no information regarding a cause of death. However, TMZ has reported that he'd previously been dealing with heart issues.
Losing a loved one, especially a spouse, is one of the hardest things a person can go through. For Trina, Von's loss will only be made worse by the fact that she has now lost both her ex-husband, Gabriel Solis, and Von. Solis passed away just a year before Von and Trina married in 2019.
Outside of being an R'n'B star, Trina has also appeared in Braxton Family Values, which aired between 2011 and 2020. Her wedding to Von was featured on the show.

Following the news of Von's death, fans have begun to share their condolences and well-wishes with Trina.
"Sending so much love, strength, and prayers to Trina Braxton and her family during this devastating time. Rest in peace, Von Scales," one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Another fan noted how they were hurting for Trina, following such a painful loss.
"I am hurting for her. Finally find her love, joy and happiness and he loved her beyond measure."
Other fans paid tribute to Von, while also sending their thoughts to Trina and the wider Braxton family in such a difficult time.
