Country star Kidd G has been arrested in Georgia on suspicion of DUI. As reported by WSB Atlanta 2, the 23-year-old was booked into Muscogee Country Jail after he was charged on July 22.
Kidd G, whose real name is Jonathan Gabriel Horne, was pulled over by the Georgia State Patrol. This came after he reportedly drove 81 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to his arrest warrant.
TMZ reported that the traffic stop went as follows. He had "reeked of alcohol" upon being pulled over, and also had "bloodshot and watery eyes".
The presiding police officer asked if he'd been consuming alcohol. His response was that he was "above the limit". While he cooperated with cops, he refused a breathalyzer test, and was then placed under arrest.
While we aren't sure exactly when the traffic stop itself happened, we do know he was booked around 11pm on July 22. He was charged with speeding and DUI, before being released around 2 hours later after making bond.
His next court appearance is on August 17.

You might not have heard of Kidd G, especially if you're more on the radar of that more traditional country sound. But, he's been on a pretty good streak - up until now.
Country Bios described him as a "country rap star" whose claim to fame came from "raw bedroom recordings" on TikTok. His breakout song was Gold-certified, with "Dirt Road" getting pretty popular nationwide.
He also won the New York Times' designation for "the year's best country debut album" with Down Home Boy in 2021.
In an interview with Bringin' it Backwards and American Songwriter, Kidd G reflected on his first hit. His friends had always said he was good at rapping, so he decided to get a studio set up.
And then: "six days later, I dropped the song, and it starting going... like, TikTok played a big role. It just like, was consistent, and the videos that I was doing it [with] were always consistent... started getting consistent, started climbing."
