"I think about it a lot," Green said. "At this point in my life, I don't know how I could do it. So things are going to have to slow down and get a little bit more of a sense of normalcy before I could really think about settling down and having a family," he says. "But it's definitely something I'd like to do and I'm somewhat excited about where my songwriting would go with that much of a change in my life, too."

For now, Green is likely satisfied with being a dog dad. He has three dogs in total, two blue heeler corgi mixes, Carl and Carol Anne, along with a yellow labrador named Jazz.

Green's current schedule is likely to be a factor in his willingness to wait for parenthood, too. He's currently balancing his music career, a role on next season's The Voice as a coach, and his role on the hit show Marshalls.

Riley Green Has No Intention of Slowing Down

As his conversation with Billboard continued, the concept of Green slowing down became a talking point. Green gave a well-reasoned answer, admitting that sooner or later, he will naturally lose the momentum he's currently riding.

"I know that it will end at some point. I mean, it's such a battle to stay relevant in this world," he told the outlet. "I've got more opportunity now than I've ever had. There will come a time when it's not that case. So it's just keep your foot on the gas as long as you can."

Green's logic makes perfect sense. Right now, he's riding the crest of a wave and is one of the strongest voices in the country music scene. He's clearly exploring his options within the acting world, too. At 37 years old, Green won't want to leave the parenting too late. but right now, he's living his dream, and that's something most of us would love to do.
