Wheeler Walker Jr. announced he was retiring from music back in June, and he's not changing his mind.

But as he makes his way out of Nashville, the artist who calls himself "country music's last real outlaw" is making sure the genre's fans know what they are losing.
Wheeler Walker Jr. Is Going "While the Getting Is Good"
Before Walker rides off into the sunset, he is touring in support of his last album, the provocatively titled Pullin' Out. It is due out next week.
To promote his swan song, the outlaw country icon has been posting social media clips so fans know what they're losing when he finally hangs up his hat.
"I feel like I'm getting out while the getting is good," he says. "The second I heard that Luke Bryan song about 'Climb Tree' ... I gotta get out of country music. This is f****** stupid. Country music has just turned into AI."
He added, "Before I came along, country music sucked. While I was in country music, it sucked, but I was good. Now that I'm leaving, it's gonna completely suck."
Walker Is a Joke
In case you didn't know, Walker is the country music alter ego of comedian Ben Hoffman. He made history in 2016 when his wildly inappropriate debut, Redneck S***, became the first album to debut on both Billboard's Top Comedy Albums chart and Top Country Albums chart.
Pullin' Out promises to be just as dirty. He said in a press release back in June that the album is "packed with savage commentary, gloriously offensive honesty, heartbreak, hangovers, and at least three songs that'll probably get banned before release day."
If you want to say goodbye to God's gift to country music, his tour kicks off in Grand Rapids, Michigan, next month. He'll then close out his career in Nashville on May 15, 2027, at the Ryman Auditorium. You can check out all the dates here.
