Nolan Wells' death remains a mystery. That's why a fund has been set up to reward someone who provides information leading to an arrest and conviction in his murder case. Former NFL star Terrell Owens has now donated $25,000 to that fund, bringing the total to $125,000.

The donation builds on the $50,000 donated by Rev. Al Sharpton and another $50,000 from Tyler Perry. Following the sizeable sums being donated, Benjamin Crump, the attorney for the Wells' family, issued a statement.
"We are deeply grateful to Terrell Owens, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Tyler Perry for standing with Nolan Wells' family in their pursuit of truth and justice," Crump said, via PEOPLE. "Their generosity and unwavering support send a powerful message that this tragedy will not be swept under the rug and that we will not stop until the truth is uncovered and justice is served."
Crump's statement then continued by urging anyone with information to come forward.
"Someone knows what happened to Nolan on Horn Island," Crump continued. "We urge anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward. This reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction because Nolan's family deserves the truth, and those responsible must be held accountable."
Nolan Wells Had Been Missing Following a Fourth of July Celebration
Wells was last seen celebrating the 4th of July on Horn Island in Mississippi. However, during those celebrations, he went missing and wasn't located for two days. He was ultimately found dead.
Currently, details regarding Wells' death are limited. The results of an autopsy are still pending. Wells' parents have shared that it would have been uncharacteristic for him to split from his group of friends.
"We always taught him that if you go with a group, you stay with a group," Elmore Wells, Nolan's father, said. "If you go with five, you come back with five. Do not separate from the group. Because I always said, 'Safety is in numbers.' So he knew to stay with this group, so why would he split from the group? I don't know."
The investigation into Nolan's death is still in the early stages. Hopefully, with such a large reward now on offer for information, details will start coming to light.
