It's never to late to get a good education. Country superstar Reba McEntire headed to Oklahoma last week to celebrate her mother's huge education milestone.
In a post on her Instagram account, McEntire proudly shared a photo of her family surrounding her mother, decked out in a graduation gown. Jacqueline McEntire graduated high school at the age of sixteen and taught students for nearly 20 years. Still, she never managed to complete her college degree. Last week, Jacqueline fulfilled her dream of getting her diploma from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
With her entire family on hand, she was presented with an Honorary Bachelor's Degree in Public Education and Community Service. In the photo above, you can see Jacqueline, Reba and siblings Alice, Pake and Susie sharing big smiles around their beaming mother. Reba graduated from the same Durant, Okla. college back in 1976 with a degree in Elementary Education and Fine Arts.
McEntire just released a brand new holiday album, My Kind of Christmas, available exclusively through Cracker Barrel stores. You can also snap up new western-themed jewelry, clothing and home goods through her Rockin' R By Reba collection. You'll want to hurry - most items are selling out ahead of the holiday season.
