Hear Reba McEntire's Hell-Raising New Song 'Storm in a Shot Glass'

Reba McEntire has released another new tune from her upcoming album Stronger Than the Truth and this one is both a cautionary tale and a reminder that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. "Storm in a Shot Glass," written by Mary Browder, Will Robinson and Leslie Satcher, is about a heartbroken woman drowning her sorrows at the local bar. But this is no ordinary tear-in-her-beer moment — tonight she's drinking hard liquor.

"A dark cloud up above her/ It's all over a lover/ All the signs are saying it's gonna get worse," McEntire sings on the boisterous and foreboding song. "There she goes throwing back a storm in a shot glass."

McEntire will release Stronger Than the Truth on April 5. She previously released "In His Mind," "Tammy Wynette Kind of Pain," "No U in Oklahoma" and the album's title track.

McEntire will host the Academy of Country Music awards in Las Vegas on April 7.

'Storm in a Shot Glass' Lyrics:

She's up on the barstool
Out drinkin' like a mad fool
Everybody around here knows what it does to her
A dark cloud up above her
It's all over a lover
All the signs are saying it's gonna get worse
There she goes throwing back
A storm in a shotglass

Here comes the lightning flashes
Here comes the thunder crashes
Here comes the tears like falling rain
It ain't gonna blow through fast
Gonna be hours before it's past
Wouldn't sit there and I sure wouldn't ask
Better step back
That's a storm in a shot glass

That poor bartender
He sure remembers
What happened last time when she rolled in
Tell the band to step it up
No songs about breaking up
And the last thing you'd wanna do is mention him
Oh lord it's a storm in a shot glass

Here comes the lightning flashes
Here comes the thunder crashes
Here comes the tears like falling rain
It ain't gonna blow through fast
Gonna be hours before its past
Wouldn't sit there and I sure wouldn't ask
Better step back
That's a storm in a shot glass

Better run for cover
She just ordered another

Here comes the lightning flashes
Here comes the thunder crashes
Here comes the tears like falling rain

Here comes the lightning flashes
Here comes the thunder crashes
Here comes the tears like falling rain
It ain't gonna blow through fast
Gonna be hours before its past
Wouldn't sit there and I sure wouldn't ask
Better step back
That's a storm in a shot glass

Storm in a shot glass
Storm in a shot glass
No, I would sit there if I was you
Storm in a shot glass, yeah
