The Life & Songs of Kris Kristofferson, set for March 16 at Bridgestone Arena, will also feature performances from Buddy Miller, Larry Gatlin, Jessi Colter and Shooter Jennings. They will join the previously announced artists Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Hank Williams Jr., Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Ryan Bingham, Jennifer Nettles, Jamey Johnson, Jack Ingram, Darius Rucker and Lee Ann Womack on stage for an evening honoring the acclaimed singer-songwriter. Willie Nelson, fellow member of legendary supergroup the Highwaymen, is also scheduled to perform.
Grammy award-winning producer Don Was, who has worked with Kristofferson for over 20 years, will serve as musical director for the concert's specially-assembled backing band. The 79-year-old singer-songwriter is also set to perform a selection of songs from throughout his career.
Few tickets remain for the one-night-only performance, which can be purchased through Ticketmaster. A portion of the proceeds raised from ticket sales will go towards the T.J. Martell Foundation, which funds groundbreaking medical research for diseases including leukemia, cancer and AIDS.
