Country star Jason Aldean is gearing up to release a brand new record, his first new music since the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.
Rearview Town, Aldean's eighth studio album, will be released on April 13. Aldean says that his latest project will showcase the mix of influences he's connected with over his lengthy career.
"Growing up in Macon, Ga., I had a chance to learn about so many different styles of music," Aldean said in a statement. "Looking back on first playing in bands as a teenager, I was just soaking everything up. A lot of that comes out on this record...where I've been, and who I am now."
Rearview Town follows up Aldean's 2016 LP They Don't Know, and marks his first project since the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Oct. 2017. 58 people died and hundreds were injured during Aldean's set on the festival's final night.

That tragic day didn't stop Aldean from hitting the road again just days after the shooting. He'll return to the road later this year for his High Noon Neon Tour, featuring Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina.
