Head recently appeared on ID's Hollywood Demons: Surviving 16 & Pregnant, where she got candid about the death.

"It was the first vacation I've ever been on in my entire life. I was maybe 12 weeks pregnant, maybe a little further along," she remembered. "We all went out in the water and my friend looked back at me and said, 'Don't come any further or you're going to get caught in the rip tide.' But at that point, I was caught up in it."

"I blacked out," she continued. "And then I remember the lifeguard coming and yelling. I had salt water in my lungs. They were trying to find a heartbeat for the baby. I was looking around and Todd wasn't there."

At the hospital, she learned that her boyfriend died in the same rip tide. Sadly, the Coast Guard wouldn't discover his body for several days. At the time, they were still filming the reality series, and it became a difficult journey for Head.

"When all that was happening, you were just focusing on being pregnant and having this baby and hoping nothing happens to the baby, because that's all you have left," she said. "I called the producer I had and told them he had passed away, and I probably won't do it anymore now. It was almost immediate that they were like, 'We want you.'"

Despite the tragedy, she agreed to continue forward with the episode. However, she faced the downsides of fame and reality TV when she saw a magazine article at the store.

"[The article] was just talking about the accident and it was implicating that we murdered him," she revealed. "It was a pretty big shock because my episode hadn't aired yet. I remember thinking, like, 'Nobody called and asked me anything. This was being put out there and I had no voice to it at all.' I didn't think that would ever happen, truly."
