Reality Star Mark Wright Suffers Nasty Head Injury — Needs 30 Stitches

TOWIE star Mark Wright was in Las Vegas when he took a fall that resulted in him needing over 30 stitches. It's left him with quite the... mark.

The TV personality was in Las Vegas for a Formula 1 event, although he would be bringing more than memories back with him.

On November 24, Wright's boss, Steve Weiser, the Las Vegas Bureau Chief at Extra TV, shared a collection of pictures from the event. One of them includes a picture of Wright with head bandages on a hospital bed. He also shared a photo of Wright leaving the trauma center.

Weiser captioned the photo collection, "Another @f1lasvegas in the books and this one left its mark @wrighty_. Nothing was gonna stop this guy from delivering the goods for @extratv and @vegas. Not even a visit to the ER and 30+ stitches ?'? ?"

Naturally, this sparked concern from his fans.

Mark Wright Explains Why He Needed 30 Stitches

According to Digital Spy, Wright posted a since-expired video to his Instagram story that explained the event in detail. He took the video on the flight home on November 25, the day after his boss shared the photos.

In the video, he said, "Another year done, F1 in Vegas. What an experience. I'm coming home with a little scar." He then showed off the scar. It's a pretty nasty one as it snakes from the top of his forehead around to the side.

"For those that are asking on my Instagram, I fell in the bathroom. I wasn't drunk. It was the middle of the night, half asleep. Needed a few stitches but I'm all good, absolutely fine," he explained.

"On my way home to see the wife. Now it's home time for Christmas. Can't wait to see my loved ones. Until next time, Vegas. Peace out," he ended the video.

So that clears it all up. Thankfully he's okay now.

Mark Wright has since posted to his Instagram, although the scar is nowhere to be found. It's likely some make-up magic rendering it invisible, although it's possible the photos were taken before the accident and scheduled to post long after.

I already know everyone is going to be on the lookout for his scar when he's next on TV.
