Was Gypsy Rose Blanchard Injured?
Entertainment Weekly reports the accident took place in Terrebonne Parish, on the state's coastal southeast side.
While there was minor property damage, no one was injured at the scene. No arrests were made. A Facebook user first broke the news of the accident, posting, "2026 is wild. Just got sideswiped by Gypsy Rose. FML."
The Accident Comes Weeks After Another Tragic Incident
This vehicular incident takes place weeks after the death of Ken Urker, the 34-year-old partner of Blanchard, on his birthday, Oct. 1. Police are continuing to investigate his death. The star of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up and Urker share a one-year-old daughter named Aurora.
Blanchard reportedly texted Urker "Happy Birthday" but did not get a response. Her brother Dylan discovered Urker's body. His sister, Autumn, confirmed his death on TikTok Live.
According to an incident reported from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies discovered "paraphernalia (syringes and spoon) in the bathroom next to a brown powdery substance," a "handgun on the nightstand next to the bed," and "a paper towel placed on his left arm with what appeared to be blotches of blood on the paper towel."
No foul play is suspected. Blanchard believes Urker died of an overdose.
"I don't know if it was intentional or not," said Blanchard. "He was not in a good state of mind lately. I'm in disbelief. I can't think. I've screamed until my throat burns."
In 2016, Blanchard was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a second-degree murder charge. She had reportedly been subjected to years of abuse from her mother, Dee Dee. She convinced her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to kill her mother.
Urker and Blanchard met while she was in prison. They began as prison pen pals in 2017 and were engaged in 2018 before calling things off just months later. Blanchard later married Ryan Anderson, then divorced him and got back together with Urker.
