Reality star Jax Taylor has been handed a restraining order in court against his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. As reported by E! Online, this comes after the Vanderpump Rules star allegedly threatened to kill his wife and co-star.
The court documents obtained by the outlet also allege that Taylor was abusive in other ways to Cartwright. The 37-year-old The Valley star wrote in the request that Taylor "has exhibited a pattern of coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting and even physical violence".
Her declaration continued, "Throughout our relationship, [Taylor] has threatened to 'gut me like a fish', threatened to kill me, physically attacked me," and even "thrown furniture".
She also alleges Jax Taylor had "broke at least three iPhones of mine, one iPad, destroyed property at our home, attempted to break in, stalked me, accessed my iPhone and messages and even Instagram account without my consent, deleted messages on my phone without my consent, removed my jewelry from the home without my consent and has refused to return them to me."
Cartwright further alleged that the most recent incident between the two happened on August 21. She claimed Taylor had threatened to call the police on Brittany about a child safety fence around her pool.
The Vanderpump Rules star is now required to stay at least 100 yards away from Cartwright, as the court granted the restraining order.

The Restraining Order Comes After the Reality Stars Split in 2024
This restraining order comes after the reality stars had split in 2024. They announced their separation on an episode of their shared podcast, When Reality Hits, per E! Online.
Brittany explained, "On my last podcast I alluded that many marriages go through rocky times. Yes, marriages in general are hard and I've had a particularly rough year this past year. Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health."
She added at the time that her main concern was to be "the best mom to Cruz". The now-seven-year-old is the child that the two reality stars had together.
