Indeed, Larsa Pippen posted to her Instagram Story on Nov. 5 with the harrowing news. The 52-year-old Real Housewives fan favorite shared a screenshot about Matt Damon's wife's recent struggle with a brain aneurysm and the resulting surgery.

"I get diagnosed with a brain aneurysm yesterday, and I wake up to this," Pippen wrote over the screenshot, per Page Six.

She then went on to write, "I'm sick," adding a crying emoji.

So far, Pippen hasn't elaborated beyond the somewhat cryptic post.

However, Damon detailed how his wife, Luciana Barroso, suffered a brain aneurysm back in 2024. She had corrective surgery the week before that year's Oscar ceremony.

"We had this whole scary thing happen where my wife had a brain aneurysm," Damon told GQ in a cover story published yesterday. "She's totally fine, thank God, but [she] had this brain surgery the week before the Oscars. But it was the first night she felt good enough to get up and had her energy back," he added.

Damon's wife ended up putting on a brave face (and a fancy dress) for the big night, after all... at least for a chill after-party.

"And she surprised me and got a dress, and we went out to the after-party because she remembered that the last time it happened, I didn't do it," Damon told the outlet.

"She was like, 'This time we're going out,'" Damon recalled. "And it was pretty f—ing heroic of her to do that and really meaningful."

Brain Aneurysms Aren't Always Serious

A brain aneurysm is "a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain," according to the Mayo Clinic. "If an aneurysm ruptures, it can quickly become life-threatening and requires emergency treatment," the outlet added.

That said, not every case is serious.

"Most brain aneurysms aren't serious, especially if they're small," the Mayo Clinic explained.

Here's hoping Larsa Pippen's brain aneurysm is the less serious, small variety. Regardless, here's wishing her a full recovery ASAP.

Of course, the Real Housewives star was married to NBA legend Scottie Pippen for over 20 years. They have four children: Scotty Jr., 26, Preston, 24, Justin, 21, and Sophia, 17. She later dated Michael Jordan's son, Marcus Jordan, for over a year; they split in February 2024.
