"Last night while on stage at BB King's I suffered a heart attack," Northern

posted on Oct. 10. "Fortunately, I was surrounded by friends and loved ones who immediately went into action and I received lifesaving medical assistance. I had a 100% blockage in an artery that required a stint."

The singer continued by admitting that the situation could have gone way worse than it did. As such, she shared her gratitude that she still has her health.

"So many things could have gone soooo much worse, but I'm sooo grateful that they didn't," she explained. "I love all of you guys who helped me in the middle of it, as well as those who checked on me afterward."

As you would expect, the comments section of Northern's post was full of well-wishes from her long-time fanbase. In a video posted to Facebook, the R'n'B singer has since thanked those fans for their love and support.

"I am at home, and I'm very grateful," she said in the video. "I'm so grateful to God for giving me a way to come through this ordeal practically unscathed."

Angela Northern Is Already Cleared To Perform Again

In that same video, Northern made the shock announcement that her doctors have already given her the all-clear to get back on stage.

"I drove myself home from Memphis," she said. "The doctors cleared me to perform this Friday and Saturday. I'll be at BB Kings this Friday and Saturday again. We are going to try it one more time and see what happens. Also, Saturday, I'll be in Brownsville, Tennessee at a fall fest."

Hopefully, Northern can continue to wow the crowds in the coming years while keeping her health in good shape. After all, the last thing she'll want is to go through a similar situation again while performing for her fans on stage.
