Rapper Trae tha Truth has finally reunited with his 6-year-old daughter after she went missing in August. The search is finally over, as authorities found the daughter safe and sound by the Mexican border in California.

Five months prior, Trae's daughter Truth was meant to visit her mother for the weekend who did not have sole custody. Since then, she disappeared, and U.S. marshals and the FBI had been on the hunt for the girl.
A Touching Reunion With Rapper And Daughter
"None of this would have happened without God," Trae said on NewsNation's Banfield on Monday. "The mountains that he moved and the people he put in place, that was the true blessing."
His daughter is currently receiving therapy after the terrifying ordeal, but according to Trae, she's adjusting well. Despite the daughter's initial hesitation during the reunion, things seem to be going smoothly.
We do know that this has to do with the mother, Heather Cuevas, since authorities issued a felony warrant for her arrest. They found the 6-year-old "super close to the border," but currently don't know where the mother is. Or, at least law enforcement has not yet disclosed the mother's location.
A month into the investigation, private investigators managed to spot Truth and her mother in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, it took four more months to find Truth and safely bring her back to her father.
"As a loving father, I'll be here to the end," Trae continued. "I'm going to ride it out, whatever comes with it. But one thing for sure, she's going to know she's protected and loved."
This incident had just been the tip of the iceberg. Trae and Cuevas have been in a custody dispute for six years, which is the daughter's entire life. Just in 2024, the court granted the rapper primary custody of his daughter. Meanwhile, the mother had weekend visitation rights and summer visits.
Unsurprisingly, the abduction happened right around the time when Trae received primary custody. Even the father admitted that it may have "triggered something" in Cuevas to make her disappear with Truth.
