Just like the May release "One in a Row," Randy Travis' brand new single "Lead Me Home" is a rarity from the Warner Brothers archives, originally released as an iTunes exclusive bonus track for 2008 album Around the Bend. Over 10 years later, the deep cut from before Travis' 2013 stroke limited his speech and mobility resounds as a thank-you note to his wife and caretaker, Mary.
It's yet another great love song from the singer of "Forever and Ever, Amen." In true traditionalist style, Travis' heartfelt interpretation of lyrics by Shawn Camp and Joe Henry pairs well with gospel and bluegrass-style string accompaniment.
The song should remind fans of two things: the good times multiple generations associate with Travis' past hits and the ongoing struggles conquered daily by a loving couple.
