Country legend Randy Travis shocked fans inside Nissan Stadium with his surprise appearance during the opening night concert of CMA Fest in Nashville.

During the Charlie Daniels Band's set on June 9, Travis was escorted on stage by his wife for an unannounced visit from the newly-inducted Country Music Hall of Fame member. Although Travis could not address the crowd, as he is still working to regain his motor skills after a life-threatening stroke in 2013, he was all smiles as the crowd swiftly gave him a standing ovation.

This marked another of many surprise appearances from Travis in recent months, including his stop at Blake Shelton's set during the Off The Rails Country Music Festival in Frisco, Texas in April, and his visit to Kenny Chesney's concert at the AT&T Center in Arlington, Texas on June 4. Travis is also featured in Shane Owens' new video for his latest single, "Country Never Goes Out Of Style."

Although fans may never be able to see Travis perform on stage in the same form as his glory days in the 1980s and 90s, it's still a treat to see the country legend traveling the road to recovery with such grace and gratitude.
