"A minute order, obtained by The California Post, shows Raja asked to have the start of his potential imprisonment pushed back to July so he could 'attend several scheduled medical appointments,'" The New York Post reports. "The document noted prosecutors objected to the matter, but the judge nonetheless granted the request."

Raja is facing imprisonment for attacking professional wrestler Stuart Smith, aka Syko Stu in August 2025. The incident took place at a Knokx Pro Wrestling event, with the footage immediately going viral.

The attack left Smith in the hospital, with a long road to recovery. During the attack, Raja knocked Smith unconscious before unloading a flurry of punches to his grounded opponent. It took multiple members of the wrestling roster, flooring the ring, to pull Raja, a talented MMA fighter, away from Smith.

Following Raja's request to have his imprisonment pushed back, he will now have a new hearing date of July 2. He is expected to spend 90 days in jail and faces a potential restitution bill of $81,703.38 to Smith.

"Rampage" Jackson, the Father of Raja Jackson, Has Previously Issued a Statement

Former UFC star, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Raja's father, issued a statement after the initial incident occurred, as he looked to ease some of the backlash that was being sent Raja's way.

"I don't condone my son's actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, im deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith."

"That being said I'm very upset that any of this happened. But my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery. I apologize on his behalf and to KICK for the situation."

Smith was expected to make a full recovery following the attack. He's likely back to, or at least near, his former best. Nevertheless, the incident shocked the wrestling world and left many concerned for Smith's well-being.
