This South Carolina House Comes with a Creepy Mystery Tenant

One home is South Carolina is making headlines for its real estate listing that includes a mysterious tenant.

This modest abode in Cayce, S.C. could be yours for just $155,779. But you'll have to share your new space with an unnamed roommate. And no, you can't meet them before you buy the lot.

According to Thrillist, the original listing included this eyebrow-raising detail. "Upstairs apartment cannot be shown under any circumstances. Buyer assumes responsibility for the month-to-month tenancy in the upstairs apartment. Occupant has never paid, and no security deposit is being held, but there is a lease in place. (Yes, it does not make sense, please don't bother asking.)"

Well, that's comforting. And as you could expect, the house is still up for grabs. When you combine a property that's already in need of a lot of work with a unknown tenant that sounds like a storybook villain, you can't be too surprised at that outcome.
