Independent wrestler, Jordan Saint, has sadly passed away following a head-on car crash in Long Island, New York.

Jordan Saint has sadly passed away following a head-on car crash in Long Island, New York. Saint is best known for his work on the independent wrestling scene, where he performs under the "Black Flash" pseudonym.

"State police say the call came in at 9:30 a.m. for a two-vehicle fatal crash on the parkway," Fox News reports. "One vehicle had crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head-on, according to police."

Saint was behind the wheel of the Nissan, which was hit when "the Hyundai driver, who was left seriously injured, crossed into oncoming traffic," per The New York Post.

When operating in the independent wrestling scene, talents usually work for multiple promotions. That involves traveling around the country, usually by car due to cost, in order to make consistent appearances, and thus earn a consistent living.

Recently, Saint had been making appearances for Pandemonium Pro Wrestling. He'd also made an appearance at Shooting Star Fest in Las Vegas, which was in town during the same week as WWE's WrestleMania.

Outside of his work with Pandemonium Pro Wrestling, Saint also made appearances for Naptown All-Pro Wrestling. Therefore, he was likely a well-known figure on the independent scene, and to die-hard wrestling fans who follow what's happening around the indies.

Tributes Poured in for Jordan Saint

Following the news of Saint's death, tributes began to quickly pour in.

"He was the finest example of what truly loving pro wrestling looked like," Pandemonium Pro Wrestling wrote in a statement. "Nobody I've ever come across has loved pro wrestling more than Jordan Saint. He touched so many people with his kindness, his passionate, his personality and his charm.  Jordan never folded & never changed for anyone if it meant it sacrificed who he was. He wore his heart on his sleeve at all times and we loved him for it."

Naptown All-Pro Wrestling also issued a statement following the news of Saint's passing.

"That passion for the art & sport of pro wrestling bled through in every action, and if you took the time to really be in his presence, the zeal he had for the squared circle was infectious," the company said. "Hardheaded & dedicated to his craft, Jordan was quick to soak up knowledge. Combined with his superb athleticism, he took to all aspects of in-ring competition lightning fast."

There are currently no details about what led to the crash that killed Saint, nor has there been any update on his impending funeral.

The wrestling world is undoubtedly in mourning.
