Hailey Ostrom is a pro golfer with a substantial social media presence across multiple platforms. She has almost 600,000 followers on TikTok and is closing in on the big 1 Million on Instagram. Unfortunately, that sort of reach can attract the wrong kind of people, including stalkers.

Ostrom, 30, from Oregon, shared a horrifying story about an encounter with a stalker via a video on her Instagram page.
"On Monday, I got a message from one of the golf courses that I frequent saying that a man came in and was looking for me. He asked them to contact me and tell me to call him. He left his name. I did not recognize his name, and I chalked it up to 'this is probably a follower,' just let it go."
Unfortunately for Ostrom, this person crossed a line, and she explained that the man had turned up at her house at night. "It was a very scary situation for me, and I had never had anything like that happen before."
The golf star also explains how this man got her home address, which isn't common knowledge. "He was able to get my address by abusing his job at his work and finding all of my information," she said.
The Stalker Allegedly Messaged A Fake Hailey Ostrom Page And Sent Them Money
Ostrom reveals that the man who turned up at her house had allegedly been in contact with a fake Hailey Ostrom via a shady website. He had also reportedly sent $50,000 to whoever ran the scam site. Ostrom explains that the man was angry when this site stopped messaging him, so he figured out how to get to her.
Thankfully, the man eventually left Ostrom's house of his own accord, but a fan interaction should never escalate to a home visit. Ostrom also explains that she texted her family to call the police when her visitor was at the door.
The golf star calmly explains in her video that most of her followers likely know this, but "I do not message you on any other accounts. I will never directly message you and ask you to Telegram me." Ostrom also says that there are hundreds of fake pages about her online, and she tries to have them taken down daily.
"I really appreciate all of my followers who respect my privacy and don't do anything crazy like that. In the coming weeks, I will post about something to try and solve this problem," she added.
