Priscilla Presley is speaking out about the fallout of her daughter Lisa Marie's death and the controversial lawsuit that followed.

The 80-year-old recently attended a speaking event with her son, Navarone Garibaldi Garcia. She said that her daughter's death broke the family.
"It's kind of separated us in a way," she said. Prior to her death, Priscilla says the family would "get together and have meals and, of course, you know, have family." That apparently no longer happens.
Lisa Marie passed away in 2023 from a small bowel obstruction. According to Garcia, losing Lisa Marie's son, Benjamin, was the first thing that fractured the family.
"When you would think that would be something that should bring everybody together, that somehow separated us further, because everybody grieves in different ways, and everybody felt, you know, put blame on somebody in different ways, and just felt different ways about it," he said.
Priscilla last saw her daughter days before her death. The two attended the Golden Globes together. Following the death of her daughter, Priscilla sued her granddaughter, Riley Keough, over the estate. That resulted in a brutal lawsuit that was eventually settled out of court.
Things appear to be publicly on good terms, but behind the scenes, who knows? Riley was biting and bitter in a letter addressed to Priscilla.
"Unfortunately, Nona as you are taking me to court, I am being forced to defend my mother's wishes legally and publicly which would not have been my choice," Riley wrote. "It is really hurtful that after years of me trying to resolve your and my mother's broken relationship and restore our family, you are taking me, of all people, to court."
Riley felt hurt by what she saw as a betrayal on Priscilla's part.
"Even a few weeks before my mother passed she wanted to sue you again and you called me for help. But as you know she chose to listen to me and not sue you," she wrote at the time. "I believed then and now, lawsuits among family members have no place, but here we are."
She also accused Priscilla of fracturing their family further.
