Eagles frontman Don Henley is about to release his first solo studio album in 15 years. Cass County also marks Henley’s first fully country-oriented project in his long and accomplished career.
Ahead of the album’s release on Sept. 25, NPR is sharing a full stream of the album for fans to enjoy through its weekly First Listen series. The album features guest appearances by some of country’s biggest stars, including Miranda Lambert, Merle Haggard, Alison Krauss and Martina McBride. Cass County’s track listing also includes the standout track “When I Stop Dreaming,” a heartfelt duet with country legend Dolly Parton.
If online streaming just isn’t your thing, you can purchase a 12-track version or a deluxe 16-track version from retailers on Sept. 25. Henley will also head out on a national tour beginning in October with support from singer-songwriter Shawn Colvin.
