The Dassault Falcon 50 private jet failed to get airborne as it attempted to take off at Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport. The incident occurred on Sunday, October 18. The plane eventually ran out of runway, crashing into a nearby fence. The incident shut down two runways at the airport.
"It was an eventful weekend. That's for sure. Watching the incredible Donnie Wahlberg and his mates crush it in their last show in Vegas," Johnson wrote on Instagram on Monday, October 19. "And then surviving a very hairy plane situation. But we did. And I'm grateful and very happy to be alive!"
Amy also chose to share a couple of photographs from inside the private jet. One of the images showed the wing of the plane crashing into the fence.
"The flight crew was seen praying on the tarmac alongside Wahlberg after the incident," Page Six reported.
Wahlberg responded to Amy's Instagram post, writing "You rock Amy Jo! So thankful for you, and for my buddy Matt! So very blessed!" in the comments section.
Donnie Wahlberg Assured Fans Everyone on the Plane Was Safe
In a video posted to his Instagram account on Monday, Wahlberg assured his fans that everyone onboard the plane is safe and well.
"We're all OK," he said. "I'm OK. We were taking off and didn't get up in the air and ran out of runway," he said in the video. "I'm just going to tell you these pilots saved our lives. And God covered us. God is good. We had just finished praying, and I looked out the window and said, 'We are not getting up in the air today.'"
The whole situation must have been terrifying. The hard part, though, will be the next time any of them are boarding a private plane. After all, that is the sort of memory that sticks with you for the rest of your life.
