I think in all my years waiting and bartending, my combined tips wouldn't even come close to the $20,000 tip Post Malone gave one lucky bartender on Christmas Eve.

Looking back on the moment, Renee Brown recounts just what went down in her neighborhood dive bar. She was working at the Railyard in Houston, pulling some late-night, Christmas shifts. Back home she had a 9-year-old, no doubt missing her mother on the festive night. "The day started off super slow, and I was just taking it as it was, trying to be in a good mood for others while dealing with not being able to spend Christmas Eve with my daughter," she told Music Mayhem Magazine. "We usually bake cookies and watch Christmas movies, and this was the first time I wasn't able to do that.
But, as the night went on, a surprise pair of visitors came through the door. Both Post Malone and Shaboozey decided that this was where they wanted to spend the evening. She didn't even realize who it was until someone pointed them out. One of her co-workers gave her a tip that Post Malone was outside.
She kept it cool and ensured the local boozers didn't harass them too much. She suspected they had chosen her little watering hole because they could stay low-key. It was her astute bartender attitude that earned her the tip from Post Malone in the end.
$20,000 Tip From Post Malone Was A Christmas Miracle
Despite keeping it local, Post Malone and Shaboozey raised the atmosphere of the bar. They brought with them bags of festive cheer and ended up having all their drinks bought for them. However, they weren't going to leave without giving a gift.
Renee looked back at the end of this busy Christmas Eve night. "Then came time for last call and to close. When Austin asked for his check, he didn't have one because many regulars and his friends bought his beverages." However, Post Malone asked her to ring him up for a dollar so he could tip.
When it came to counting up her bills for the night, she finally got to his. "It was a tip for 20,000 dollars, I immediately broke down crying." For the mother, working two jobs, and away from her daughter on Christmas Eve, this was everything. The gift was more than just money, it was a chance to spend a Christmas with her daughter and splash out.
