While on stage, Post Malone paid tribute to Oliver Tree, who recently passed away in a helicopter crash.
"A celebration of the life of an absolutely beautiful, beautiful man," Post Malone said. "I knew, and Inspired the world with his heart and his soul. Ladies and gentlemen, we lost a beautiful man named Oliver Tree. I just want you to know, dude, that we love you so very much. We love you, brother. We love you. We're just going to have a great night and celebrate this gentleman."
Post Malone's tribute clearly resonated with the crowd in attendance. Cheers could be heard throughout from the moment Tree's name was mentioned. The remainder of the show went off without a hitch, allowing fans to enjoy themselves and experience the music.
It's fair to asssume that it was a moment Oliver Tree would have been touched by.
Post Malone Shares Update on New Music
Before Post Malone went out on tour, he canceled the first month's worth of shows, citing the desire to finalize his upcoming album first. That new album is still not out, however, during the opening night of his "Big Ass Stadium Tour," in Charlotte, North Carolina, Post Malone provided an update for his fans.
"I understand it's been a minute since new music," Post Malone told the crowd. "This new record is 99% f*****g done, and I can't wait for everybody to f*****g listen to it very soon."
Post Malone then continued explaining himself as the crowd cheered to his update.
"You know, it's been a whole bit, I suppose, but this looks like a f*****g stadium full of beautiful people, and I can't say thank you enough, ladies and gentlemen," he said.
With Post Malone's tour now in full swing, there will undoubtedly be some more questions about the status of his album if it doesn't drop soon. After all, there's only so many times you can tease something before it's time to pay up.
