Nikki Ross Bellamy has died at the age of 54.

The cause of death of the extraordinary gospel singer was not immediately known. Ross Bellamy had recently stopped touring for several weeks to address some health issues. Despite symptoms of temporary blindness, she recently recorded the song "Beautiful Day" with the artist Trent.
Her death was confirmed by her church, Houston's New Jerusalem Cathedral, and reported by PennLive.

In addition to her unmatched vocal ability, Ross Bellamy played piano and organ. She was also a vocal arranger and was known in the gospel music world for her perfect pitch. Among the icons she worked with were Kirk Franklin, Gladys Knight, and Ricky Dillard.

Her voice was unmistakable, her presence unforgettable, and the impact of her music and ministry reached far beyond the walls of the church."It added, "The world heard her voice. We knew her heart. Both have left an indelible mark that will not be forgotten."
The Gospel Singer Was Also a Mother
In 2017, Ross Bellamy also appeared on Harry Connick Jr.'s syndicated talk show, Harry, to perform "The First Noel." During their conversation, Connick said that Ross Bellamy was one of his favorite musicians.
