Blink-182 drummer and reality TV personality Travis Barker posted several photos to his Instagram Stories yesterday (Oct. 6), offering a glimpse into the prep for what may be an upcoming surgery. In the candid snaps, the 50-year-old rock star lies in a hospital bed, wearing a blue medical gown and a surgical hairnet. The drummer also appears to be hooked up to a blood pressure monitor.
Joining him at the hospital were his wife, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, and his daughter, Alabama Barker.
"My baby girl came with me," the rock star wrote alongside a selfie of himself and his 20-year-old daughter. Alabama could be seen talking on her phone in the snap, per PEOPLE.
Another shot showed his 47-year-old wife planting a good luck smooch on Travis before he possibly underwent surgery.
"And my beautiful wife by my side," he wrote over the cute photo, adding a black heart emoji.
Perhaps letting his over 8 million followers know a certain someone was also on his mind, Travis Barker concluded the series of shots with another candid photo. It featured his toddler son Rocky, whom he shares with Kourtney Kardashian Barker, at play, riding an inflatable toy dinosaur set to the Jurassic Park theme.
The veteran rock star didn't specify exactly why he was hospitalized. He instead chose to leave his legion of fans in the dark despite the emotional photo spread. However, the context clues of a surgical cap and gown certainly imply surgery.
Travis Barker Underwent Surgery Back in 2023
PEOPLE pointed out that this isn't the first time the drummer has gone under the knife in recent years.
Back in March 2023, he revealed he'd had surgery to repair a torn ligament in one of his fingers.
"Thank you for all the love and prayers and understanding this week as I went into surgery," he wrote to his fans at the time.
He also shared that the procedure was vital for this career, playing drums on tunes like "All the Small Things."
"It was a hard decision to make but ultimately I couldn't continue to play the drums without it. It was inevitable that my finger would have dislocated again without fixing the torn ligament surgically," he added. "So grateful for Dr. Shin and that my surgery was a success so that I can keep doing what I love and see you guys on tour soon."
Ever the oversharer, the beloved drummer also showed a grisly snapshot of his sliced-open finger.
